Brett M. Waronicki was born in Hollywood, Florida and raised in Stuart, Florida. He earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida and his law degree from West Virginia University College of Law. While at West Virginia University, Mr. Waronicki was selected as a member and treasurer of the school’s traveling moot court team.

Mr. Waronicki began his legal career as an assistant public defender in Florida’s Nineteenth Judicial Circuit representing those accused of crimes ranging in penalties up to life in prison. After leaving the public defender’s office, Mr. Waronicki worked for a private firm for two years in Stuart, Florida handling criminal defense and general civil matters. Mr. Waronicki eventually came to Wiederhold & Moses, P.A. where he subsequently became a named partner.

Based mainly in the Firm’s office in Stuart, Mr. Waronicki practices in all areas of general liability including transportation and personal injury defense, commercial litigation, wrongful death defense, civil rights (“section 1983”) defense, premises liability defense and property damage defense. In addition, Mr. Waronicki has defended matters involving employment discrimination and the Americans With Disabilities Act. Mr. Waronicki’s experience includes trying cases for clients in both state and federal jury trials and oral arguments before Florida’s Third and Fourth District Courts of Appeal. Further, Mr. Waronicki has successfully argued in front of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit in Atlanta, Georgia.

Mr. Waronicki is admitted to practice in all courts throughout the State of Florida. In addition, he is admitted to the Federal Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida along with the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Waronicki is a member of both the Palm Beach County Bar Association and the Martin County Bar Association.  He is also an adjunct professor who teaches business law at Indian River State College. Finally, Mr. Waronicki has been rated by Super Lawyers and is a Life Member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum for which membership is limited to only those lawyers who have had a verdict or settlement of a million dollars or more.  Fewer than one percent of U.S. lawyers are members.

Mr. Waronicki and his wife, Vicki, reside in Stuart, Florida with their daughter and son.
